Change where a printed code goes
Open the code under Codes, change the link (or the page content for hosted types) and save. The next scan goes to the new place; the printed pattern does not change.
Every change is kept under History on the code page, with who changed what and when.
Changing the short path or the domain does change the pattern. Download the code again if you do.
Changing what kind of content it opens
You are not stuck with the original type. On the code page, choose Change type to turn a link into a PDF, a menu, a contact card, a Wi-Fi page or any other type. The printed pattern stays the same.
Before you switch a live code
Open the new destination on a phone first and check it loads quickly and looks right on a small screen. If the code is on something many people will scan at once, such as a poster at an event, make the change before the event rather than during it.
If you only want to change where some people go, for example visitors from another country or scans after closing time, add a destination rule instead of changing the main link.
- Static vs editable QR codes
- Reading scan statistics
- Send scans to different links (rules and A/B tests)
- Making product barcodes
