Reading scan statistics
Analytics shows scans over time, a world map, countries, regions, cities, devices, systems, browsers, languages, referrers and UTM tags. Pick a time range, switch between total and unique scans, or compare up to four codes.
Unique scans count each visitor once per day. We never store IP addresses: a visitor is a daily hash that cannot be linked across days.
Bots and link previews are not counted. Scans outside a code’s schedule, or before a password is entered, are not counted either.
Total and unique scans
Total scans count every time the code is opened. Unique scans count each visitor once a day, so one person scanning five times counts as one. Use total scans to see how busy a placement is and unique scans to see how many people it reached.
Sharing and exporting
You can share a read-only stats page with a client or a colleague: it shows scans, places and devices, but not where the code points. To work with the raw data, export every scan as CSV and open it in Excel, Google Sheets or your BI tool.
For conversions on your own website, add UTM tags to the destination link, so your web analytics tool can tell visits from the printed code apart from other traffic.
- Static vs editable QR codes
- Change where a printed code goes
- Send scans to different links (rules and A/B tests)
- Making product barcodes
