UTM builder

Fill in the campaign details and copy the tagged link. Your analytics tool then shows exactly which poster, email or ad brought each visit.

Tagged link

Enter a page address to see the tagged link.

01

What you get

All five parameters

utm_source, utm_medium, utm_campaign, utm_term and utm_content, encoded correctly.

Keeps your link intact

Existing query parameters and anchors stay where they are.

Straight to a QR code

Open the tagged link in the generator to print it as a code.

Saved templates

Signed in, save sets of UTM values and reuse them on every new code.

02

How it works

  1. 1

    Paste the page address.

  2. 2

Fill in source and medium at least, for example "poster" and "print".

  3. 3

Copy the link, or make it into a QR code.

What UTM parameters do

UTM parameters are tags added to the end of a link, such as ?utm_source=poster&utm_medium=print&utm_campaign=spring. Analytics tools read them and file the visit under that source, medium and campaign, so you can see what each poster, newsletter or ad brought in.

Without them, visits from a printed QR code usually show up as "direct", indistinguishable from people who typed your address.

A naming scheme that keeps reports clean

Decide once how you name things and stick to it. Use lowercase, use hyphens instead of spaces, and keep source for where the link lives (poster, newsletter, instagram), medium for the kind of channel (print, email, social) and campaign for the promotion (spring-sale-2026). Use content to tell two versions of the same piece apart.

Signed in, you can save a set of values as a template and apply it to every new code, so the whole team tags links the same way.
