Short links that you can edit and track
Smart Links are short links without a printed code: for bios, emails, ads and chats. Same editing and stats as a QR code.
What you get
Custom back-half
Choose the end of the link, like /spring-sale, instead of random letters.
Click analytics
Clicks by day, country, device, referring site and UTM campaign.
Social previews
Set the title, description and image people see when the link is shared, with a live preview.
Expiry and passwords
Links that start and stop on a date, stop after a number of clicks, or ask for a password.
Edit after sharing
Change where the link goes after it is already in a hundred chats.
A code when you need it
Any Smart Link can be downloaded as a QR code later.
How it works
- 1
Paste the long link and choose a back-half.
- 2
Optionally add UTM tags, a preview image or an expiry date.
- 3
Share it and watch clicks come in.
Why use a short link instead of the full address
Long links break in emails, look suspicious in chats and get cut off in bios. A short link such as q.qrglo.com/spring-sale is easy to read, easy to type from a slide or a video, and it can be changed after you share it.
Every Smart Link records clicks, so you can see which channel, post or email actually sends people to your page, without adding any tracking code to the destination site.
Branded and custom back-halves
Instead of random letters you can choose the end of the link, for example /menu or /webinar. On Pro you can also put links on your own subdomain, such as go.yourbrand.com/menu, which people recognise and trust more than an unknown domain.
Control how a link looks when it is shared
Chat apps and social networks show a preview card with a title, a short description and an image. A Smart Link lets you set those yourself, with a live preview, so the card matches your campaign even when the destination page has no preview tags.
You can also give a link a start and end date, a maximum number of clicks, or a password, and send late visitors to a page of your choice.
